Shows That Fit How You Watch
Flickd doesn't just match genres — it understands your watching rhythm and finds series that fit your life.
Serial Commitment Matching
Your serial commitment trait tells Flickd whether to recommend 6-episode limited series or 100+ episode epics. It matches show length to your attention span.
Binge Pattern Awareness
Flickd tracks when you binge (weeknights? weekends?) and how long your sessions run. TV recommendations adapt to your binge rhythm.
Watch Progress Tracking
Track which season and episode you're on for every show. Flickd uses this to prioritize continue-watching suggestions and avoid spoiling unseen content.
New Episode Alerts
Get notified when shows in your watchlist drop new episodes or seasons. Alerts arrive at your optimal viewing time based on your habits.
Service-Filtered Discovery
Only see shows available on your streaming services. Deep links take you straight into Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, or wherever the show lives.
Personality-Driven Curation
Whether you're a Binge Sprinter who powers through series or a Slow Burn Strategist who savors each episode, your personality shapes every recommendation.
TV Show Recommendation FAQs
How does Flickd recommend TV shows?
Flickd scores every TV show against your taste profile using 24 features including genre affinity, serial commitment trait, binge score, popularity alignment, and keyword similarity. It also factors in how many episodes you typically watch and your day-of-week viewing patterns to suggest series that fit your pace.
Can Flickd track my progress on a TV series?
Yes. Flickd tracks your watch progress at the season and episode level. For TV shows with 2+ seasons or 40+ episodes, it asks how much you've watched (a few episodes, a season or two, mostly caught up, or seen it all) to give better recommendations.
Does Flickd know when new episodes or seasons drop?
Yes. Flickd runs a nightly episode checker that scans for new episodes and seasons of shows in your watchlist. When something new drops, you get a notification at your preferred time so you never miss a new episode.
How does the binge score work?
Your binge score is computed from your viewing session patterns — how often you watch multiple episodes in one sitting, average session duration, and consistency of binge behavior. A high binge score means Flickd will lean toward recommending series with lots of episodes available.
What if I prefer short series over long-running shows?
Flickd adapts to your viewing patterns. If your swipe and watch history shows a preference for limited series or shows with fewer seasons, the algorithm scores shorter series higher for you. Your serial commitment trait directly influences whether you see 1-season gems or 8-season epics.
